All Girls Need Green Heels!

So, I wrote this piece in 2014 and I absolutely love it. It may not make sense reading it in 2020 but it's a good walk down memory lane. Especially now that we are on lock down and the most exciting thing to do in the day is shower and wear pajamas that will last you until the next shower session.

I don't even know why I started blogging in the first place. I hate typing, I hate texting, I absolutely hate sending SMSs'. Who invented texts any way. Its much faster AND easier to just call and talk. Right? Why bother spend a whole five minutes to write out one thought on text. Do you even have a clue of how much you can say in five minutes. I need exactly 40 seconds to call my nanny and find out if my daughter came home, had a snack, did homework, give instructions on when and how she should shower.....alright alright you get the drift.

So next time before you text (a.k.a lose five precious minutes of your time that you will never ever recover in life ) just call and squeeze in a little more information within those five minutes. Its so annoying even as I type this, my laptop touch pad is so sensitive and it keeps inserting text in another paragraph....nkt!

Anyway...so am just staring at my laptop and am wondering what should I blog about today should I blog about the green snake skin heels that am wearing today, should I blog about the experience of having a husband in another country or should I blog about the cruel experiences of broken hearts that some loved ones are going through (not in a mean way but I am super glad I am not the one going through this. I think I have had my share).

I think I will blog about the green snake skin heels am wearing today. I really don't get those girls who cant.....(no no no) who won't wear heels. I mean heels make you feel slimmer, prettier, more elegant :). If you are a girl and you don't have at least 10 pairs, there is something absolutely wrong with you.

So this weekend I bought a pair at my favorite boutique (God knows I love me some good quality fashion at knock off price). Let's just say I will NOT mention the price tag but the shoes are hot. So this is my first ever green shoe and it gets me wondering why the hell had I never bought green heels before. I mean I am in love.

So anyway, the day before (Friday) the big shopping spree I had gone dancing with my cousin and my aunt (yes my mum's sisters are that cool. We go drinking and clubbing together. Fadamullah if you ever get to read this, she is my mum's real sister :). I had on shorts and 5.5 inch heels that I danced with the whole night. So the following morning (Saturday- the day of the shopping spree), my feet were really tired. So I wore my coral flat sandals that I bought from sears and I absolutely love (ok fine I will blog about my coral sandals another day). After work, my aunties, my sister and I had this mission to go looking for designer clothes at the cheapest price possible.

We all know this is almost an impossible mission so it was pretty much the search and my poor feet took all the heat (notice the rhyme?). By evening all the nerves in my legs were in serious pain. But I will say one thing, we didn't exactly find cheap designer clothes but we got clothes and I got my precious pure bliss green snake skin heels.

We got home and I didn't get to try them on because I had a guest. That means, I was in kitchen duty and had to cook a three course meal in like an hour (talk of a marathon kind of day - I felt like a participant on chopped ). Don't get me wrong I love cooking but I was super tired considering rendezvous of the previous night and a full day of shopping.

So after the dinner was done, it was time to go through all the goodies from the shopping spree and voila the green snake skin heels. The moment I placed my feet in them I felt the angels sing. Suddenly all the muscle that hurt in my feet felt massaged and I could suddenly dance and run around the house feeling refreshed just because of the green snake skin heels.

So I don't know if its just me but these heels feel like the magic shoe that give me super powers. Anyway, point is it's okay to get out of your comfort zone ( and buy GREEN heels) and try something new. It's the little things that bring small joys that we never even think about.
